Measurement rules

How each number is earned

Practice score

Starts at 50. A correct unaided answer adds 2; correct after a hint adds 1; an incorrect answer removes 2; correcting a previously missed type adds 3. Scores stay between 0 and 100.

Section score

The simple average of every subtopic score in that section. Each subtopic counts equally, preventing high-volume practice in one area from hiding another.

Accuracy

Correct answers among the latest 20 submitted attempts for the same subtopic. Unanswered questions are reported separately and do not count as correct.

Pace

Median active time spent on a question while it's open, using correct attempts only. The clock pauses when the tab is hidden or after 90 seconds without activity. It appears after 10 attempts; the trend compares your latest 5 correct times with the 5 before.

Grit

Missed problem patterns answered again in a later round within seven days, divided by all misses. Recovery count shows how many of those retries were answered correctly.

Behavior signals

Answer changes, times a question was left blank to move on, hints, and second-guesses (a right first answer changed to a wrong one) are counted per subtopic. They explain a pattern but never change the practice score by themselves.

Abandoned exams

Counted when you open a round and leave it unfinished. A generated round you never open is discarded. These exams stay in their own list and do not change problems solved, accuracy, or practice score.
